My Family
I’m daddy Davy. Growing up in a big family, I have always been used to having people around and being around babies all the time. I’ve always wanted children of my own, but being gay it’s not an easy way.
I grew up as a normal kid who was used to playing outside, watching Disney movies and annoying my sister. My parents got divorced when I was six and my mom started a new life with a woman. I have never had any problems nor have I been bullied about the issue that my mom was gay. The fact that I was gay is another story. I used to be bullied a lot, but in retrospect, it made me stronger and into the person I am today.
I went to high school to get a degree in Multimedia and communication technology and that got my job as an IT consultant (SharePoint) at Ventigrate – Cronos. A great company which supports being diverse, with great colleagues and a fantastic boss!

My grandmother Elza
First of all there’s my grandma Elza aka “mémé” who has always saved a special place for me (among 35 grand kids) and to who I own my love for crocheting and flowers.
My Sister Evy
Although my sister Evy and I did not get along very well when we were kids, the bond we got from when we went living our own life, is unbreakable. We have been inseparable ever since and even got matching tattoos.
My Godchild Ona
In 2010 my sister got her first child and I was asked if I wanted to be godfather. Up until now, it had been one of the most proud moments of my life. It has been a privilege and joy being her godfather and watching her grow into to beautiful girl she has become.

She can be as crazy as I am an knows every part of me. We can talk to each other without holding back, we share every emotion and special occasion and even though we are not related by blood, she and her family are a part of our family.
My Hobbies
Crochet
On my free time, I love to crochet. It’s a craft I learned from my grandmother when I was 10 years old, which I picked up on again in 2014. I’ve been crocheting everything and everywhere. Dolls, carpers, scarfs, … on the plane, in the waiting room, at home, at picknicks in the park, ….
City Trips
When we travel, I love to visit local yarn stores. They sell yarn brands, special dyes and exotic materials which awaken the yarnaholic inside of me.

Baking and cooking
I love eating, but most of all I love baking and cooking. Cupcakes, macaroons, birthday cakes, … I have made them all and many have enjoyed eating them as well.

My Slimming
When I was a teenager, I spent most of my time at the gymnasium. This could be up to 16 hours a week, so I was pretty slim from all the exercise. But when I started my graduate there was a lot of time spent on commuting and studying, I had a job during the weekends, so there was not much time left for gymnastics. Getting our own place and being able to choose what we should eat definitely, did not do good on my weight. After several years, I decided to get surgery to get back in shape and I have to say it was de best decision of my life. Not only am I living a more healthy live, I feel a lot better also.

My Favorite place in the world: Disney
Off course it’s Disney! If you look at our blog, you probably will have noticed that a lot of our pictures are taken at Disneyland Paris. Aaron and I visit the place several times a year and we always look forward to the next visit. It’s a place where magic truly happens and where I feel like a kid in a candy store.
